What Are Intensive Therapy Retreats?
There are lots of wellness retreats, luxury mental health retreats and art therapy retreats across the UK, but the people who work with me are looking for deeper benefits.
Intensive therapy is powerful work for people who want results in days.
My intensive, solo retreats take place over three days – either during Monday to Friday or over a long weekend, whichever works best for you.
My unique retreat is at Pen View (my former home in Hebden Bridge) where you’ll have sole use of the property during your visit.
I’ll visit you at pre-agreed times each day for extended, individual therapy workshops that provide a holistic approach to mental health and wellness. You will be my only client, so you get my undivided attention!
Between our meetings you’ll have the time to reflect on our private therapy sessions, as well as de-stress from modern life, with leisure activities or maybe cooking some delicious food.
You can boost your health and wellbeing by exploring the area, or simply practice mindfulness to find peace by spending time for yourself.

A Private, 1-to-1 Therapy Retreat Experience
I only ever work with a single client at a time, so each solo intensive therapy retreat is completely private. I promise to give you my full attention and use my extensive experience and therapeutic skills to help you reach all your therapy aims.
Our one-to-one sessions will incorporate a variety of integrated therapy approaches to support your mental health and achieve your goals.
That could include hypnotherapy, CBT, coaching, EFT and other tried-and-tested methods.
Between meetings, you’ll have time to practise newly learned techniques, and listen to my hypnosis recordings to support your personalised therapy sessions.
As part of the reflection and healing processes, you can slow down and rest. Do some meditation to create balance among your emotions and find inner peace, practice mindfulness for your mental health, or just catch up on your sleep!
I’d also encourage you to explore the local area and enjoy being in nature during the retreat. Hebden Bridge is a lovely, peaceful part of the world all year round, and a great place to reconnect with the natural world. It’s good for both body and soul!

During your first session we’ll establish a relationship, confirm your goals and agree on session timings and frequency.
I encourage you to fully engage in sessions and work with me to achieve the results you want, but this is your personalised retreat, so being comfortable with the pace is paramount.

Before you book a solo retreat, we’ll start with an initial discovery chat, either on the phone or via Zoom.
This is a relaxed conversation, in which we can discuss your therapy objectives and I can make an assessment of your situation.
I’ll explain what you can expect from the retreat and your stay at Pen View, and I’ll answer any questions about the retreat, the practical tools I use, the accommodation, and the area.
I detest salespeople who talk but don’t listen, so I have a ‘no pushy sales talk’ promise. That means you can make a discovery call confident you won’t be faced with a sales pitch or be put under pressure to book a retreat.
