Terms & Conditions for Retreats
1. Booking & Payment
- A booking is confirmed when the client/guest receives written acceptance of their reservation and payment of the deposit (if applicable) is cleared.
- The remaining balance must be paid no later than 6 weeks before arrival.
- Failure to pay the balance by the due date may result in cancellation and forfeiture of the deposit.
2. Duration & Use
- The property is let for a therapy retreat/holiday let only.
- The property shall not be used for any commercial purposes, parties, events or other than as private holiday accommodation.
3. Suitability of the Therapy Retreat
The therapy retreat is unsuitable for people experiencing a mental health crisis, acute OCD/PTSD/CPTSD and diagnosed psychiatric disorders.
4. Cancellation & Changes
- If the client/guest cancels:
- Over 45 days before arrival: full refund or reschedule.
- Between 30 days and arrival: no refund unless the same date/s are booked by another client/guest.
- If the owner has to cancel (for example due to emergency repair), the client/guest will receive a full refund of monies paid or reasonable alternative accommodation may be offered.
- Any changes requested by the client/guest are subject to owner’s/agent’s agreement and may incur additional charges.
5. Guest Obligations & House Rules
- Clients/guests must keep the property and contents in reasonable order and leave the property in the same condition as found.
- Clients/guests must let the owner know of any damage or breakages.
- Pets: Assistance animals only, on request and with owner’s prior written consent.
- Smoking is not allowed inside the property or its environs.
- Noise & Nuisance: Clients/guests must not cause noise or disturbance to neighbours and must comply with any quiet hours (10pm – 8am).
- Sub-letting or assigning the booking is not permitted.
- Clients/guests must allow reasonable access by the owner or their agent for repairs, or pre-departure checkout, etc.
- Parking is often available next to the property, but this cannot be guaranteed. You may be directed to free on-street parking nearby.
6. Owner/Agent Obligations
- The owner/agent will ensure the property is clean and ready for occupation at the start of the let.
- The owner/agent will respond as soon as reasonably possible to any maintenance issues reported by the client/guest during the stay.
- The owner/agent does not guarantee uninterrupted use of facilities (for example due to repair, breakdown or power failure) but will strive to rectify issues swiftly.
7. Insurance & Liability
- The property is covered by the owner’s insurance policy for the owner’s risks. Clients/guests are advised to arrange their own travel/holiday insurance to cover personal injury, loss or damage to belongings, delays or transportation problems.
- The owner’s liability to the client/guest for any incident is limited to the amount paid by the client/guest under these terms. The owner is not liable for indirect or consequential loss.
- Clients/guests use the property at their own risk; the owner/agent takes no responsibility for accidents unless caused by negligence of the owner/agent.
8. Termination
- The owner/agent reserves the right to terminate the booking and require the client/guest to leave immediately if:
• A client/guest breaches these terms (e.g., causes nuisance, damage, illegal activity).
• The property is misused, or the occupancy exceeds the agreed number. - In such cases, no refund will be payable.
9. Data Protection
Clients/guests’ personal data will be processed in accordance with applicable data protection laws. Clients/guests consent to their details being used for the purposes of booking administration, property management and required legal/statutory obligations. You can read my Privacy Policy here.
10. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute arising under or in connection with these Terms will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
These Terms & Conditions are effective from 1st November 2025
